For Ontario residents who do not have health insurance, midwifery care is provided by the Ministry of Health. We also pay for blood work and ultrasounds done in the community, and any consultations with physicians that we need. All hospitals have a charge for using their services which varies from hospital to hospital, but we can help you find this information.
I use drugs and I’m scared of being treated badly because I’m pregnant.
We provide non-judgemental, low barrier care for everyone no matter what drugs you are or have used. We focus on reducing harm to you and the fetus and will attend appointments with you to make sure you feel supported and respected.
